Diaphragm Valves

What is a diaphragm valve?

Diaphragm valves mainly consist of a valve body with two or more additional parts which are a diaphragm and a saddle upon which the diaphragm closes the device. This was initially used for industrial purposes but its trend increased when it was seen to be advantageous.

Two categories of the diaphragm valves

There are mainly two types of categories of the diaphragm valves. One covers the saddle and the other type the seals over the seat. The saddle type is common in process applications while the seat type is common in the slurry applications which reduces blocking issues to a really great extent.

Actuators:

The diaphragm valves or the membrane valves are operated by several different types of actuators namely, manual, pneumatic, hydraulic and electric etc.

The feature of the diaphragm valves:

  • Stainless steel 304 316
  • Pressure rating up to 3500 psi
  • Threaded female or male NPT,BSP,BSPT,tube extension
  • Size 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2 inch metirc 6 and 8 mm
